Fatal error when processing disc

Post by shinji » Thu Apr 01, 2010 7:20 pm

I'm trying to decrypt Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror. It is an all region BluRay disc but uses AACS MKB v16. When attempting to decrypt I get a fatal error. I have AnyDVD HD installed but disabled so it doesn't interfere. I also ran it with AnyDVD HD enabled to pre-strip the files and still the same effect.

Please help!

From AnyDVD HD:
Summary for drive F: (AnyDVD 6.6.3.2)
ASUS SBC-06D1S-U A201 10/01/11 7U01
Drive (Hardware) Region: 0 (not set!)

Media is a Blu-Ray disc.

Total size: 15545152 sectors (30361 MBytes)
Video Blu-ray label: HOTTARAKE_NO_SHIMA_MOVIE_DISC
Media is AACS protected!
AACS MKB version 16
Removed AACS copy protection!

Update: This turns out to be due to my codecs. Please be aware of that! I uninstalled the shark007 pack and the issue went away.
Update 2: Install Combined Community Codec Pack but reinstalling MakeMKV seemed to have helped. Note you can rip the m2ts from the disc using AnyDVD HD first then run MakeMKV against that and it is a bit quicker sometimes...

You can use "backup" feature built-in in MakeMKV to copy and optionally decrypt blu-ray disc to a hard drive in its original form, without the need for any other software.
