Hello,
Makemkv worked fine for me in Windows 7 and 8.1 but fore some reason I'm getting an issue in Windows 10 x64. It keeps on trying to save to the wrong location - no matter how many times I change the default folder and saving. I exit - make sure it is closed in task manager and go back in and it still tries to go to the wrong folder when I open a disc. Also I can't seem to correct the title when ripping the MKVs of a TV show - I either get the name right and the location wrong or vice versa. It really wants to name everything title01,... When you open the settings it has the right folder locations but when you select the disk it wants to put it in the \video folder
Windows 10 issues?
Re: Windows 10 issues?
Did you re-enable Expert mode? Preferences->General
Did you set a default destination to save to? Preferences->Video
Have you set up MakeMKV to "Run as administrator"? It may not have permission to update its configuration if you didn't.
There have been some issues related to Windows 10's antivirus, but the fact that it runs at all means you're past that hurdle.

Re: Windows 10 issues?
Hello,
Thanks for helping out! This is a fresh install of win10 with fresh 1.97 makemkv
I did turn on expert mode after it wasn't working the way it had for me previously - no improvement on file saves
I have run it as administrator - no luck - it does show the right destination until you put in a disc and it says it is going to save it to another destination despite it has the right one in settings. I've saved and rebooted and it still shows the right location until you put the disc in and that where it says it will put in in a video folder that doesn't exist. I can click on the folder icon and move it every time but I'd really like to lock that in.
This folder does exist g:\azureus\complete
this folder does not where it automatically tries to put it (G:\video)

Re: Windows 10 issues?
The data directory is where MakeMKV stores things like SVQ files. You want to set the destination directory in the "video" tab.

No intense stupidity detected.... Windows 10 has triggered a LOT of confusion in the world!

Re: Windows 10 issues?
My biggest question about windows 10 was what was the point? I'm not against it but it seems to be a lot of hoopla over something that doesn't do squat for me but I don't use apps, I use applications.Woodstock wrote:No intense stupidity detected....
