Tomorrowland not ripping fullly

Post by Opentoe »

I ripped the disc to ISO, then used MakeMKV and it only produced 2:02 of running time. It cut off right before it started to roll credits. Why would it do this? I selected the entire video and rolling credits are like 10 minutes long.

And the reason for not ripping directly with MakeMKV was ..... what?

If you have something else rip the disk, then try to use MakeMKV against what it wrote, you have two variables in your equation, and no way of telling which one had a problem.

Rip the disk directly with MakeMKV, with debug logging turned on (information on that is in the link in my signature). You can post the results here, and we can see about helping you.

Ok, sorry about the lack of information. When I get discs from Amazon I'm forced to rip them since I don't even use a blu-ray player. I use my Dune Media player to watch everything. I used IMGBurn to make the ISO. I was in a rush, so I just ripped it to ISO and wanted to watch it right away. Of course the girlfriend borrowed the disc so I don't have it right now to try and rip with MakeMKV directly. Soon as I get it back, maybe tonight, I will try it. I'm also waiting on a couple old movies from Amazon like Angels and Demons and The Da Vinci code. Like a dork, I even ordered their soundtracks since I think Hans Zimmer has some great stuff on there. I'll get back when I get the disc back. Thanks!

UPDATE: Well, couldn't get my TOMORROWLAND disc back but I have the Angels and Demons 2 disc set. First disc creates 3 almost equaling to almost 90 GB. All three files seem to be the same rip. Not sure why it had to make three files. Then I tried the 2nd disc and that wouldn't even rip. The log doesn't say much, and debug mode is on.

This is the log from the failed disc 2. But I think it might have to do with the lowering that 1800 second settings so it catches all video on the disc, no matter how small.
