Multiple Disc With Same Error During Playback

I have had about 4 or 5 movies that I have ripped to a hard drive tell me mid movie that the sound is muted and will not play sound due to protection. Is this a new thing? It never happened before.

It can happen if you have a player that implements Cinavia protection:

Most people avoid it by picking a different player.
