I am getting the following message after a fresh install of 1.9.6;
"Evaluation period has expired. Please purchase an activation key if you've found this application useful. You may still use all free functionality without any restrictions."
I waited until today to get a fresh beta key and copied it into the registration field. Now I get the message;
"Your temporary key has expired and was removed. Please restart application."
The new key is allegedly valid until November 30, 2015 and the fresh install said it was good until December 2015. Is MakeMKV no longer free while in beta testing or have I done something wrong?
Please help.

Use version 1.9.6
Change date to 9/28/15
Use the old, sept., "wrong key"
restart makeMKV
change date back

Re: v.1.9.6 not running with new key
On Linux (Mint) you have to keep the date set back until your source has finished loading, otherwise it sits in an endless debug loop.
Once your source is loaded in MakeMKV you can set the date correctly.

Unfortunately, this didn't work for me.AmishTrader wrote:Use version 1.9.6

The last key I had, was from August 23rd.
The "new" key in the thread, which says good until Nov 2015, is the same key I had from August 23rd. Is that the problem?
Using newest version, 1.9.6, even if I set my date back it still tells me the key is no good and it removes it, and tells me that my version is too old as well.

Re: v.1.9.6 not running with new key
I installed 1.9.6, applied the "new" beta key and got caught in the loop.
Wiser now this has happened a couple of times over the years, I changed the system (win 7) clock back to 21.09.15.
Restarted MakeMKV and it has been working fine since. Minor inconvenience for a free and great program.

And does someone know, how long it "normally" takes, until it's fixed?nathan wrote:... Wiser now this has happened a couple of times over the years, ...
Or is it possible for someone to contact Mike? I think, he was not here, since he changed (tried to) the key and does not know, that it does not work.
