Good day!
I have been using makeMKV (currently version 1.9.5) for awhile and had ripped my entire bluray library to mkv files including all the star wars movies with no problems. Through and unfortunate windows 10 accident, my movies folder got deleted off my NAS....
so anyway, I have started again, this time ripping them to .mp4. so I got to my star wars box set and have problems with the first one, The Phantom Menace. I selected (Angle 1) as my rip target, video is fine but I get no sound. I'm testing my rip before handbrake using the built in player in win10 which normally works fine. When I was playing it back to test my rip with the built in movies & tv player in win10, I noticed an audio track selector was available with (5) different tracks, I tried each one, the first 2 were no audio, the 3rd one was like a visual impaired track with sound, then the last two were both sound with commentary.
anyone tried to rip the star wars movies recently?
Thanks,
EDIT:
I played the file back with VLC and audio worked fine....must be some type of error with win10.

Re: star wars sound problem
Most like Windows 10 doesn't understand the audio encoding. VLC will give your more information on that, if you open the Information window, and look at the "Codec" tab.
What are you using to convert to mp4? Depending upon the program, you can change the audio encoding at the same time you repackage the video.
