Maleficent UK bluray fails

Tried several times now and changed the save location just in case too, but it just comes up as Failed at the end.

If you need a log file let me know how to get that up here.

From what Mike has said, there are drive/operating system combinations out there that won't report read errors properly. Instead, they'll return "something", which may or may not be expected. When this happens, MakeMKV has to employ various work arounds to try to make sense of the data that came back. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Cleaning the disk is the first thing to try. A simple fingerprint can cause what you're seeing, but other things can, as well.

Well the disc went into the drive from new, no marks, completely clean and plays fine in that same drive on PC and in a PS4, this is the first disc I've come across in hundreds to fail.

Any other way to make a MKV from the movie without too much cost?

I've just now tried ripping the disc with a trial version of AnyDVD HD, after it was finished I played the m2ts file of the movie fine except for 1 or 2 chapters in the image and sound is corrupted, if I skip to after that or at the beginning it's fine, once again this disc works and plays fine in this same PC drive with PowerDVD and in consoles, this appears to be some new form of copy protection.
