Backup failed, on one machine

Post by ShardDragoon » Thu Jul 30, 2015 4:23 pm

Have a new to myself machine specific issue. It's been a few months since I've used the entire backup feature as I like to do with certain titles from time to time but I seem to be unable to backup discs on one of my machines all of a sudden, it seems to work fine with other methods/applications but MakeMKV is simply giving a backup failed message with the three titles I've attempted so far (which all work fine using MakeMKV when carried up to my work machine).

Debug log started at Thu Jul 30 16:16:39 2015 , written by MakeMKV v1.9.5 win(x64-release)
Using 524544KB for read cache.
001005:0000 MakeMKV v1.9.5 win(x64-release) started
001004:0000 Debug logging enabled, log will be saved as C:\Users\HTPC/MakeMKV_log.txt
001003:0020 DEBUG: Code 0 at B_%m?;)ds/v|k6c,:c*8:29398760
005069:0080 Backup failed
005080:0204 Backup failed.
Application exited at Thu Jul 30 16:16:43 2015

I tried re-creating temp folder, changing folder locations, checking permissions, even changing the drive letter on the BD-RE from E: to D: to match my upstairs machine. Ran out of ideas.

The backup procedure does not give the same level of debugging that using the "Open/save to MKV" procedure. Please try using the Open method, to see what errors are reported.

If the disk rips on one machine and not the other, it COULD be drive related, OR software related.

Trying to copy all titles to mkv produced similar details which I'll paste first below, info produced the second set posted below, I don't see any additional helpful details sadly. I should probably mention just to be thorough that I am using makemkvcon64 on Windows 7 x64 in case there's somehow a difference between command line functions being used vs what the UI would pass along to makemkvcon.

Inexplicably it is failing only at the command line using makemkvcon64 backup disc:0 C:\Temp\ --decrypt or as suggested for mkv makemkvcon64 mkv disc:0 all C:\Temp\ and yet using the UI is completing successfully. If I didn't have the second machine available to me I'd think I had a syntax error. While at least I can still use the UI in MakeMKV for the second machine I'm definitely more of a command line/script person and am certainly confused. Debug log from successful UI use:
