Trying to rip a Bluray, tried three times but keeps on failing with the following error:
Error 'Scsi error - HARDWARE ERROR:441E' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM.
Tried the Pledge trick, no luck.
This is with a Pioneer BDR-209D
I've got twin Bluray drives, so I ripped it with a LG UHRNS30 and went through first time.
My logic is that the Pioneer is a sick puppy, anyone confirm or have any other ideas?
Dodgy drive?
Re: Dodgy drive?
I'd tend to agree with you on the Pioneer being on its last legs. Or, it may just need a good cleaning.

Re: Dodgy drive?
Thanks for the reply. To clean it, is it just a blast of compressed air or is it worth buying one if those cleaning discs? I did give the computer a good clean out the other day, so perhaps I blasted some dust into the drive, it's only 6 moths old, so unlikely to be a build up.
Re: Dodgy drive?
Blowing it out is the first step. The cleaning disks aren't all that helpful, compared to a long cotton swab and knowing where to use it.

Re: Dodgy drive?
Ta, I've tried blowing it out and will see what happens, cotton bud knowledge is limited to not putting it into my ear canal. As its only 6 months old I'm pretty sure it should be under guarantee anyways.
