DVD Only Rips Some Files

I have tried to rip a couple of my child's DVD's and for some reason MKV doesn't save some of the files i.e. if there are 10 files it might only convert 4 and then I get an error message saying 6 files failed. It has happened with standard DVD's as well as some Blu-ray one's I have. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might sole this one?

Follow the instructions in the FAQ linked in my signature, and let us see the debug log for the failures. It might be something simple... and, with any disks that you've let family handle, it usually involves cleaning them. Trust me on this one!

Thanks Woodstock, cleaning did the trick - not sure why I didn't think of that one considering the scratches on the DVDs!
