Confused about freeware/beta usage

I recently started using MakeMKV and I see that it is in beta now - I will most likely buy it when the full and completed version becomes available because I do like it's features and ease of use

I am a little confused about it's freeware/beta usage status right now

In the "about" section of MakeMKV's GUI it says "License type--Freeware" -- "Evaluation--Started" -- "Evaluation expires in 15 days" -- and "This version expires in 56 days"

The fact that it's Freeware but shows TWO different evaluation expiration dates is a little confusing - Can someone please explain how the expiration times will affect using MakeMKV if those dates expire before the full version is available

Also - does anyone have an approximate release date of the full version
