Hi, I got a message from MakeMKV v. 1.9.1 to update to v. 1.9.2. I followed the instructions and downloaded from the MakeMKV site and it does not work. It seems to install correctly but tells me I do not have sufficient privileges to open it. I am the Administrator. It will not work in my working account or in my administrator account. I cannot even access the file properties. Is there a known bug in this version or have I messed up somewhere? (Where?) I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit with 8GB RAM and 550GB free HDD space.
Thank you
Installation problem v1.9.2
Re: Installation problem v1.9.2
It's always best to update using the account that set the application in the first place. But, you may be dealing with a partial install.
When MakeMKV asks about removing the previous version, if you say yes, you HAVE to complete the uninstall before you continue the install. So watch for the second "remove" dialog box and tell it yes to remove the old version, BEFORE you click on the continue button for the install.

Re: Installation problem v1.9.2
I too had problems installing 1.9.2.
1 - used program manager to uninstall 1.91.
2 - Installed 1.9.2 - using the prompt after installation, I ran the program and got the version too old message.
3 - Ran the 1.9.2 installer, asked it to uninstall, then ran the install - using the prompt after installation, I ran the program and got the version too old message.
4 - went into program files (x86)/makemkv and ran uninst.exe from there.
5 - reran the 1.9.2 install and then launched from the new desktop shortcut, not from the installer, and it worked as expected.
