Hin I am a new user and during a blu ray copy I get errorts ike:

Title #00015.m2ts has length of 25 seconds which is less than minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped

Title #00020.m2ts has length of 59 seconds which is less than minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
File 00024.m2ts was added as title #3
Title #00025.m2ts has length of 77 seconds which is less than minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Title #00014.m2ts has length of 25 seconds which is less than minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Title #00016.m2ts has length of 59 seconds which is less than minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Title #00017.m2ts has length of 59 seconds which is less than minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Title #50355.m2ts has length of 26 seconds which is less than minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Title #50356.m2ts has length of 68 seconds which is less than minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Title #50357.m2ts has length of 33 seconds which is less than minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Title #50358.m2ts has length of 63 sec

Do these have any impact on playback? Can anyone fill me in on what they mean?

It is only telling you that some files are being ignored because they're shorter than 2 minutes, which is the standard minimum length for MakeMKV. You can change that in Preferences, at the bottom of the first page.

Strange - this question has come up 3 times in 24 hours...

Ok but upon playback are there missing scenes? Or any viewing issues?

Most likely a separate issue - there are a LOT of popular BDs released in the last few months where there are dozens or even hundreds of "fake titles", which have scenes out of order, and you have to find out which one is the correct title. If MakeMKV says it successfully saved a title, it is what was present on the disk... but it might not be the one you want to watch.

If you search for the disk title, you probably will find a thread for it here or on any number of other forums, where people discuss which title is correct for different retail versions of the same movie. Titles like Ender's Game, The Expendables 3, the latest Hunger Games title, and a dozen or so others have been discussed here.

There's even Youtube videos on how to determine which title is correct.

Got it so, as an expert do you keep the number set as the default?

Not an expert by any means... just at it longer than you so far. ;)

I set my minimum time value at 30. With anime, there are usually several "trailer" files that are 60-90 seconds in length that I watch before encoding the main episodes for the media server. Shorter than 30, they're probably navigation video for the menus. I really should STOP watching the trailers, though, because they usually do their job - convince me to buy something else. :(

When you run into one of the disks with lots of fake titles, you'll want to know about the "Right Click" menu, which will allow you to deselect everything and then select only the real titles, once you know which ones they are.
