Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 - US Retail (title)

Post by seantnichols » Fri Mar 06, 2015 5:48 pm

So has anyone identified the correct title yet? There are over 600 on this one. :P

I am 99% sure the order is this:
510,512,519,504,517,505,507,513,520,502,516,509,508,518,503,506,501,515,511,514

I have watched the beginning and end of each segment to make sure they flow correctly, also going off what I remember from seeing it in theaters. I just need to find the title that matches that segment map now. I will post back when I find it.

697.mpls is the one, 100%.

I have the Target retail copy which does not have a 697.mpls or a segment map that doesn't start with 503. I'm trying 553.mpls as suggested in another thread as I do have that one.

The Amazon retail copy looks to be like the Target retail copy - no 697.mpls or segment maps that don't start with 503.

553.mpls on my copy has the following order:

503,514,511,512,501,506,502,517,505,509,516,510,513,504,519,515,507,520,518,508

I'll start with this one (sadly I didn't get to see the movie in the theater, but I'll throw this in the PS3 after and compare).

I also bought mine from Amazon, and while The 553.mpls appears to be correct as all of the segments match up, my segments don't match yours. I need to watch the movie in full to know for sure. I'll edit this post after I've watched it. Mine is the BR + DVD + Digital combo.

Somehow I accidentally ripped and posted 533, not 553. (and 533 is definitely the wrong one). I am re-ripping 553 now.

Mine is also the BR+DVD+Digital combo, and my segment map for 553 matches yours. Please disregard my previous post.

I have the Blu Ray Digital movie combo from Amazon. I ripped 0053.mpls with segment map: 503,520,516,510,511,506,507,514,518,509,519,517,501,505,502,512,515,504,513,508

I went through chapter by chapter and compared with digital copy at same time stamps, and all frames lined up.

I just thought I would register so I could post this and hopefully save someone some time. This was a joke how many playlists there are to choose from.

Confirmed, the correct segment map for the Amazon/Target BD/DVD/Digital Combo pack

503,520,516,510,511,506,507,514,518,509,519,517,501,505,502,512,515,504,513,508

Just finished watching the disc next to my rip, side by side. Happy ripping!

Is matching up the first/last frames a reliable way to determine linearity? I've never tried myself, and I ask because that seems like something I could automate, or at least like 90% automate, with some perl and a makemkv binary.

I have a Redbox DVD rental. I have tried every combination of DVD structure removal method and six possible movie play lists and in every attempt all I can recover from the DVD is the two coming attraction previews. Everything else results in a "Failed to save file" error message.

However after watching the movie I don't know how keen I am to add it to my collection.

Sync issues are common with disks that have "seamless branching", where a title can be made up of parts stored in a variety of files on the disk. The messages are just letting you know that MakeMKV is fixing them.

A few of the errors were about a frame and a half, although most were within a frame. That's just on the edge of being able to see a lipsync problem. Given the hundreds of choices on this particular disk, is there one that should be 'perfect' with no adjustments?

This disk seems to bring the possible confusion to a whole new level (with hundreds of titles). I suppose this is the publishers' newest attempt to thwart those of us who'd rather have the movie on our servers than dig around in the video closet.
