I have used MakeMKV a few times (upgraded BETA versions a few times) now it seems to have gotten itself in a bit of a tizzy.
It does not seem to be recognising the current BETA code with the current version, is there some way of doing a COMPLETE fresh reinstall of it?
Make MKV not accepting new BETA key
Re: Make MKV not accepting new BETA key
Which version do you have installed? 1.9.0's key should be good for at least another month.
In any case, if Mike is late in getting the key updated, sometimes you need to set your system DATE back to before the old key expired, start MakeMKV, then apply the new beta key. Once MakeMKV is started, the date can be restored.

Re: Make MKV not accepting new BETA key
this just happened to me too. I had it happen once before over a year ago, I wound up waiting till the next build and it rectified itself. this time I've double checked the system time (it's correct), and I'm using the key that says it expires march 2015... no idea, but it keeps spitting it back at me.
Re: Make MKV not accepting new BETA key
Same thing here. I'm on 1.9.1 and the latest March 2015 key doesn't work.

Re: Make MKV not accepting new BETA key
I was experiencing the same issue today. I remembered I had previously updated to 1.9.1 in January.
The workaround I successfully used:
1. I grabbed the previous version 1.9.0 from: /download/old/
2. Uninstalled 1.9.1
3. Installed 1.9.0
4. Registered the new key
5. Confirmed the package was working
6. Installed 1.9.1 again
7. Confirmed software id working as normal.

Re: Make MKV not accepting new BETA key
I'm having the same issue. I will try installing the old version but I was informed by the software I needed to install the newest version. Hopefully this is just a temp thing.
Re: Make MKV not accepting new BETA key
That worked, but I noticed the key changed since yesterday so it probably works in 1.9.1 anyway now.

Yes, I saw the same. It does work for 1.9.1 for me.ggking7 wrote:That worked, but I noticed the key changed since yesterday so it probably works in 1.9.1 anyway now.
