dvd to mkv

Hi There,

I would just like to know what is the process for ripping a dvd to mkv file and I want to rip this as a single file as a back up without having it become a folder containing vob files?

Please give me your advice.

Whole DVD to one file won't done be using MakeMKV. MakeMKV would create a file for each title on the disk, with the option of not doing so for tracks you don't want.

There are utilities out there that will create an ISO file from a DVD, with the option of decrypting the data. I've tried one called "BDlot DVD ISO Master", which works, but that's about all I can say about it.
