Up until a couple of weeks ago, I didn't have a single problem... now I get this message with every disc.
I've given 3 of the discs that fail to a friend who has MakeMKV and they all work fine for him, so it's definitely not dodgy discs.
I'm running Windows 7 on a Dell desktop PC. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling MakeMKV.
Any thoughts?
MakeMKV suddenly won't work
Re: MakeMKV suddenly won't work
If MakeMKV reads the disk fine on a different drive, start by cleaning your drive.
Do you re-use the same area of your hard drive for each rip? That is, do you rip to the local drive, then move the files elsewhere afterward, freeing up the space for the next rip? If so, you might have disk problems.
We just replaced all the Seagate drives in our workstations because we were having issues where no errors were reported, but files were corrupt due to disk errors. Windows had no clue, but checking the SMART data on the drives showed HUNDREDS of read errors. One disk had over 4000 unreadable sectors on it when checked under Linux, yet Windows said the disk was fine.
