Error copying RED2

Post by Utter-Butter » Wed Dec 03, 2014 2:15 pm

I have get the following ERROR
Error 'Scsi error - HARDWARE ERROR:TRACK FOLLOWING ERROR' occurred while reading '/VIDEO_TS/VTS_20_1.VOB' at offset '20359168

I have tried on 3 different computers watch with different DVD/BR drives all have the current beta of MKV and they all are unable to complete.

The disk was cleaned and plays properly on a DVD player both on the computer and tv.

Probably a disk mastering error. Assuming the disk is new, return it for exchange.

Just FWIW, if the master is bad (as opposed to an error during replication), getting a new disc won't help and MakeMKV would have to work around it ;) :P

Utter-Butter: just arguing on terminology here, Woodstock's advice still holds true, nevermind the wording.
