DVD RIp failure on "My One And Only" main title

Post by MakOwner » Sun Nov 30, 2014 5:48 pm

Rather than paste a wall of text I'm linking ot the debugging logs.

This is a rip from a brand new, from the store out of the wrapper DVD, the rip immediately prior to this and the one right after (of different disks) ran with no issues.
I did this with 1.8.9, it failed so I upgraded to 1.9.0 and it's failing too.

I can rip the DVD o an ISO with dvdbackup and get no errors at all, and the movie plays up to what I think is the transition from one layer to another on the disk - the movie then halts.
With MakeMkv, I get nothing, as the whole main title is aborted and dropped.

The DVD itslef plays just fine in an LG BD/DVD player.

It would mean a lot if someone could actually take a look at this rather than just dismissing it as usuaul as a "bad dvd" or "failing hardware".

Mike will have to decode the debug messages on this, because there are a LOT of them that seem to relate to the way the disk was mastered.

Thank you.

If this helps any, this is apparently a custom master for a particular retailer in the US - the ISO image name is "MYONEANDONLY_TARGET".

Please send the IFO files from this disc with a copy of log file per instructions at /faq/item/8 . Starting with 1.9.0 MakeMKV can open any DVD disc in so-called "manual mode", but I have to look at IFO files to give you the right "manual string".
