Using anything other than default profile it won't create MK

Are you using the GUI? Have you unchecked the DTS track and/or altered the default selection rule?

If it's the CLI I'm not sure what default selection rule it follows.

I loaded the GUI once to create and setup .MakeMKV/settings.conf

Other than that I have been in CLI

Try the GUI, if that works then it's user error.
