I'm having problems using makemkv with some recent ghi-bli movies (http://ghiblicon.blogspot.nl/2014/03/ha ... ng-to.html). When I use make make it simply wants to rip two trailers. The real files are located in a directory named "KDM" and the files therein are *.bin files. I cannot play these files, even if I rename them to *.mts. Makemkv does not recognise these files when I direct it to
I've been able to successfully rip my entire collection except for this new box. Any suggestions on what I could try?

Re: Problems ripping new Ghi-bli releases
These are Japanese MGVC discs, but MakeMKV should open the "regular" blu-ray part. Please send the log file and CLPI/MPLS files to support@makemkv.com per instructions at /faq/item/8/catid/6
Re: Problems ripping new Ghi-bli releases
Thank you for the response. I've sent you the requested information a couple of days ago. I'm wondering, does this information help you 'improve/expand' makemkv's functionality. So will I be able to rip these Japanese MGVC discs in the future?
Re: Problems ripping new Ghi-bli releases
Interested in this too. Is there a way that MakeMKV can send a message to the user that the disc is Panasonic MGVC encoded?

Supposedly, "MGVC Blu-ray Discs are encoded in plain 24-bit (8×3) RGB but mastered in 30 or 36-bit, and put extra 2-4 bits in sub-stream..."
