I'd like to perform DTS-HD decoding with MakeMkv.
Any suggestions on where to find a "dtsdecoderdll.dll"
that is malware / spyware free? MakeMkv site pointed
toward ArcSoft TMT but I couldn't find trial software due
to ArcSoft discontinuing the TMT player.
Running Win7 Pro x64.
Once I find this illusive *.dll where exactly do I put it in the MakeMkv app?
Thanks for helping out:)

-or any number of download sites-
For MakeMKV itself it doesn't matter where you put it, you just go into view | preferences | advanced and enter its location in 'dtsdecoderdll.dll location'.

Re: Decoding DTS-HD with MakeMkv?
This has probably been asked, but the forum search didn't get results. Is this file necessary for reading the stream, or just transcoding to another format?
Re: Decoding DTS-HD with MakeMkv?
Just transcoding. Any old program can de/remux the thing.
Re: Decoding DTS-HD with MakeMkv?
I am trying to do the same thing. Downloaded the .dll files from the site and pasted them to c:/programs(86)/makemkv with the other .dll's. Could not find the advance tab in view>preferences. It did not rip the file into DTS HD.
My goal is to rip/play back blu ray music files in 96/24 DTS HD 5.1 surround. The MKV files come out as DTS, sample rate of 4800 and a bit rate of 1536 kbs (according to VLC). If it ripped it properly, the bit rate should be 13824 kbs (24*96*6 channels). Instead of 96/24 I am getting 48/5 (bit sampling rate =1536/48/6). Cd's are 44.1/16.
It does not sound bad but I am missing 12288 kbs of info.

1: Click on View on the menu bar on the top of the program window, then click on preferences. The advanced tab is the one furthest to the right.smallpox wrote:I am trying to do the same thing. 2: MakeMKV won't convert anything to anything unless you choose the right profile, the FLAC profile comes with the program or you can write your own, I don't believe there's a standard profile that converts to PCM so you'll most likely have to customize one.
3: Make sure you set the default selection properly to select the DTS-MA track and not just it's core.

Found the advance tab. I had to check expert in the general tab.
