Hi,
I am using makemkv with a macbook pro retina, i7 and 16Gb and a external pioneer BDK-209DBK blu ray player. I like the program quite a lot, but I just ripped a 42Gb blu ray and it took almost 2 hours, which seems to be quite high for what I have read. Any idea on what I am doing wrong and how to improve the ripping time?
Thanks!

Re: Ripping time too long
What speed was MakeMKV reporting when you were ripping the disc?
If the disc is slightly scratched or dirty it can slow down ripping a lot. Also factor in that dual layer discs rip slower than single layer discs (dual = 8x, single =12x) for that pioneer drive.
