Failure To Save Title

#1 Post by minou » Fri Jan 30, 2009 10:45 am

I have the following problem with "Dark Knight"

AACS directory not present, assuming unencrypted disc
Title #0 has length of 11 seconds which is less then minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Title #1 has length of 5 seconds which is less then minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Title #3 has length of 30 seconds which is less then minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Title #4 has length of 5 seconds which is less then minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Title #5 has length of 10 seconds which is less then minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Title #6 has length of 17 seconds which is less then minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Title #7 has length of 50 seconds which is less then minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Title #9 has length of 60 seconds which is less then minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Operation sucessfully completed

AnyDVD was running but I have also tried it without AnyDVD, with the same result.

Any ideas?

Hi, Minou!

We checked this out. The error says that you've got damaged disc (or file).

Well Mike,

I am not sure. I got this "failed to save title" error quite often these days, and DVDs were in excellent shape, no scratch, nothing.
What looks strange is that the whole process seems to go fine, but only in the end it won't save the file.
I thought about a folder name problem, but I tried on very simple folder names and it was the same.
I tried to find the mkv temp file (the one before saving occurs) but I couldn't.
is there any temp file ?

I am having the same issue. I am using a source DVD on an external USB Hard Disk (G drive, enough disk space) and tried the following:

1) Only use main movie with German language & subtitle tracks -> Export to G drive, but different folder

Code: Select all

Opening files on harddrive at G:/My Videos/DVD_Rips/Zodiac/VIDEO_TS/
Calculated BUP offset does not match one in IFO header.
Title #0 was added (28 cell(s), 2:30:59)
Title #1 has length of 12 seconds which is less than minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Title #2 was added (1 cell(s), 0:27:00)
Title #3 has length of 34 seconds which is less than minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Title #4 has length of 95 seconds which is less than minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Title #5 has length of 118 seconds which is less than minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped

The main movie (Title 0) was not save, some bonus material (Title 1) was saved.

I can see that there also seems to be an issue with reading the source file(s). Do you happen do know any tools to fix this cause when playing the DVD with VLC I am not having any issues at all.

Cheers,
Christoph
