optical drive not seen by makemkv

#1 Post by earnet » Wed Oct 01, 2014 2:26 am

running win7/64. downloaded and installed makemkv. inserted bluray. win7 mounts it fine. Started makemkv, makemkv sees the drive, searches etc. rips fine. once the rip is completed, if you put in a new disc, windows will mount it, but makemkv does not see the drive. my only workaround is to unistall makemkv and reinstall, and then it works again, for one rip.

Any suggestions?

You should never have to UNINSTALL to get MakeMKV to leave memory.

What other Bluray programs do you have installed? A lot of "driver" programs will take control over the drive when Bluray disks are inserted.

I see the drive fine, see enclosed screen shot. Nothing is taking control of the drive.
