Hi!

Wow! Is that price for the DVD in Canadian dollars or U.S. dollars?

What software and procedures did you use to initially rip it?

I started MakeMKV, clicked the disc to hard drive button, and it failed after a few second. Never opened up to pick titles, etc.

And yes, that is the price in CAD, which is nearly 1:1 with USD these days. This movie was "crowd funded" to retain full editorial control. Check out the Wikipedia article.

Are you able to play the purchased disc on your PC? On your standalone player?

If not, I'd suggest you return it to the place of purchase in exchange for a new replacement...

Yep, played just fine in Windows Media Center on Win7 x64. I don't own a standalone player.
