Multiple Files TV Show

Post by JohnSmith12 »

I have just started using MakeMKV for TV shows. On Season 2 of "Arrow", there are 12 files that match. Each disc holds 6 episodes. I am finding 2 files for each episode. I watched through a pair of files for an episode and don't notice any difference. Any idea why there is two identical files for an episode on a disc? Before I selected the files I wanted I did notice despite being the same size there was files that had more language options. Is that plausibly the case?

One version for Europe and one version for Japan is generally what I find on these discs.

I apologize for my ignorance on the subject, but if both Episodes are Identical why is there two files? Could they not just compile all language options to one file like on others? Is there significance with the European and Japanese files?

Yup, I just brought out my season one of Supernatural to and they are identical, right down to the segment map. Would it make more sense if I said one version for Region A and one version for Region B?
