I just got the retail version today from Amazon, and after looking at this thread, I have found y'alls times off. It is actually about a few seconds longer than 2:19:40.

As you can see, playlist 00043 has more video segments than the rest, including the ones @ 2:19:40. So I played 516,513,and 508 in order to see if it was junk or not. There are actual video that fits the story line in 513. It's a few seconds long. Then I tried 514,506,and 505. Got the same results with 506 only a few seconds long. So it looks like, at least on the retail, the movie is 2:20:07 with 17 chapters, 16 segments. I ordered this also from Netfix, and it appears to be the same as the redbox: basically an upconverted DVD. (AC3 lossy 5.1 surround only). But I deleted the files, so I don't know if this scheme follows the rentals. Hope this helps.

Yeah, I tried that...but I don't have a "Chapters" line entry at all. The first thing under titles is "Video", so it doesn't show the chapters section at all. I am using the Registered version for the Mac, 1.8.11 which looks the same as the version you are using. I haven't seen anything under the preferences which would trigger this, and I've never seen it for any of the other Blu-rays I've done in the past.

1) Am using MakeMKV registered v1.8.11 on an iMac under Mavericks.
2) Have you tried deleting the PLIST file and re-opening the MakeMKV app?

I am using the latest registered Windows version and also have never had a chapter selection. The first thing I thought in that screenshot was how the heck do I see chapter details?

Where is this PLIST file that should be deleted? I assume it is a .plist file? I don't see a plist file in the makemkv directory.

Do most people here have the chapter expand option?

Well, not to promote another program, but eac3to can extract the chapters into a .txt files for editing. Freeware too.

cmd: eac3to <playlist file ex. 00800.mpls> 1)

(shows stream structure including chapters)

then

cmd: eac3to <playlist file ex. 00800.mpls> 1) 1: T1_chapters.txt

(will extract chapter stream 1: into T1_chapters.txt)

I haven't done Blu-Ray to MKV in makemkv, but I do know it mentions the chapters, so I assume it would automatically put them into the mkv file.

Okay, I could be wrong. I'm going to look closer at the two added files in 00043.mpls to see if they really are needed and not junk because AnyDVD HD does not show 00043.mpls (nor any duplicates) as a "Good" playlist. Here are the results of both AnyDVD HD and MakeMKV:

I wanted to add my 2 cents here, because even after all this time, I came to this thread looking for help with this stupid thing the studios do.

Procmon says Netflix version is 810, did a quick play of the chapter start points and it does indeed look to match.

I watched the Netflix rental Blu-ray simultaneously with the 810 version.

I can confirm 100% of the scenes in the 810 version are identical to the Blu-ray.

Therefore, this is the correct information:

I just bought the 3-disc BR from eBay. For Divergent, it doesn't have 0810.mpls. 0565 is not correct even though it shows run time 2:19:40 with 16 chapters. The Trish jumping scene into the net below is out of sequence.
