Hi all,
It pains me to make my first post about an issue but this one has me stumped. I have a Mission to Mars (2000) DVD and MakeMKV (1.8.11/Win7 x64) does not list the correct title as an option to select after it scans the disc. The correct title (as VLC player reports) is title 01 but that is not an option to select in MakeMKV. Is there a way to manually pick/force a title? Here is what the log shows:

Missing correct title to select after DVD scan
Re: Missing correct title to select after DVD scan
Most likely, there is something weird with the mastering of this disk.
Follow the instructions in the FAQ in my signature to send the IFO files and the log to Mike, so that he can look at them.

Thanks for the reply Woodstock!
I followed your advice and sent an email to support about it. I tried to attach the files (log/IFO) here as well just for records sake but got an error about quota limit. Files are <100k so not sure what's up there.
I'll follow up here with more information as it's available.

Guess Mike will have to clean out his mailbox if you're getting an over-quota message.

Re: Missing correct title to select after DVD scan
Update: I received a reply from support and the suggestion was to use a trick to get MakeMKV to stop skipping titles during the scan. If you watch the log, you will see that usually MakeMKV will skip titles shorter than X or ones that look the same as Y. Presumably this trick will prevent any title skipping and let you choose whatever title you want.
You can follow the directions here to enable it yourself. Unfortunately (at least for me) this did not actually prevent title skipping. During the scan the usual short titles were skipped along with the one I actually wanted. The debug log seems to show the trick was enabled (see below) but no dice.
I'd be interested to see if anyone can get it to work for them. You will want to scan a DVD without the trick enabled at least once to confirm MakeMKV skips some titles, then enable the trick and try again.

Re: Missing correct title to select after DVD scan
Update: It looks like the 1.8.12 (8/16/2014) update to MakeMKV fixed the problem! Since posting the issue with "Mission to Mars" I had also discovered the same issue with "The Rescuers Down Under" DVD which is now working with this update.
