Actually opening up MVC and display in 3D?
Or do you mean simply opening the AVC stream and ignore MVC stream? Like how 2D Blu-ray player would handle 3D disc. Last time I checked XBMC ain't capable of rendering 3D contents yet. It does have 3D menu support for H-SBS/H-TAB.

Yes, you're exactly right. XBMC only does HSBS and HTAB. I've managed to rip some movies in FSBS and FTAB. However, it seems that MakeMKV will only make a format that XBMC can't currently do like MVC or even 3D ISO.

3D Blu-ray uses MVC and MVC only. So MakeMKV can only produce MVC (it is a 1:1 ripper).
