I've just noticed that v2.2.7 of Stereoscopic Player has been released with a new improved UI and various other enhancements.

Just downloaded it and tried it out and I'm impressed, the new UI is a considerable improvement for an HTPC
environment with a decent full screen slide out menu at the bottom and decent sized icons.
I quickly fired up my MVC MKV rip of The Amazing Spider-Man that made from my own 3D Blu-Ray and it started playing instantly and when I hit the "Stereoscopic" button on the new menu at the bottom it switched into 3D mode immediately and signalled my TV to switch too.
My Logitech Harmony remote is also working correctly and the standard buttons seem to work as expected.
I also quickly reviewed the subtitle support because I know that's an issue for a lot of people.
There is still no native support for subtitles in MKV files, but it is mentioned on the site that support is planned, so I suspect that it's probably on the way with the new version.
Interestingly, my SBS version of Avatar has the subtitles embedded into the frames, which obviously works perfectly.
Progress is being made and it looks like we are getting much closer to a full software based MVC MKV playback solution, which is awesome.
Go check it out. Things are looking up for 3D fans who want to rip to MVC MKV and use a software player.

Why didn't you post this in the 3D thread that was only 3 from the top when you created this thread? I would never have found it if I hadn't been googling for MVC information.
I downloaded the latest beta (2.2. and got it running, though not yet on a 3D display. Where do you find information on player controls? All I can see are the usual play, pause, stop and next video buttons. I'd be happy if there was basic skipping options (which I see you can set in the setting menu) and chapter support.
Will try this on a 3D display tonight to see how that goes.
