Errors with Fast & Furious 6

just got a Bluray player and so want to get a bluray ripped....

Using a Matshita BD-MLT UJ260AF

makemkv reports the highest AACS version in drive info is 39. Apparently 1.8.10 supports 42, so that shouldn't be an issue?

I get lots of output like that.

I'm new to the blu ray ripping, so apologise if I'm asking something simple

Are you sure you're running version 1.8.10? Your log has the version number information chopped off. Debug logging will contain a lot more information than regular logging.

You might also try it with version 1.8.9, because there is a bug in 1.8.10 that causes problems withe SOME Bluray disks. Older versions are kept at /download/old/

Thanks for replying.

I was using 1.8.10, following your instructions I downloaded 1.8.9, however am still running into the same issues.

My setup:

HP Proliant Microserver running 14.04 Ubuntu Server. The drive is a Matshita BD-MLT UJ260AF connected via USB3.

To install I grabbed the oss and bin packages, configure, make, and installed.

The board won't let me attach a log - it's at https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/197 ... KV_log.txt instead.

I have made another reply, but i included a link to the log file which meant it was held for moderation.....


I've just tried the blu ray and the drive on my windows laptop, which appears to be working, it's certainly got further than it did on Linux. Have I missed anything out in the setup for linux (install dependencies listed, then configuring, making and install the oss and bin packages_?

I cannot speak to the Linux version - it's been over a year since I tried it. I do know there are some complaints in the Linux section about certain libraries MakeMKV depends upon being removed or changed on some Linux distributions recently; You should probably read those messages and see if they apply to you.
