Hi everybody,
First of all, thank you for this piece of software I've just discovered.
Context :
Actually, I only use it to make MKV files from ripped DVD folder (movie only; ripped with RipIt). I have my own collection (around 200 DVDs) ripped this way on a server used with Plex. Since Plex didn't support VIEDO_TS folders anymore, I need to make mkv or mp4 for all of them. MakeMKV seems a good option, because it keeps the original quality for video and audio (I prefer DTS over AAC), and it takes less time than compress the files into a mp4. (On the other hand mp4 is more wildly supported on the Mac, but this is not the subject here).
Features suggestion : (my 2 cents to help the software evolved)
1. Batch processing (queue files or select a folder containing multiple files/folders to process) [high request for me]
2. Main window with drag&drop interface (a more simple/clean redesign will be much appreciated.) [I could help on that]
NB : drop a file/folder on the MakeMKV window -> review/select the title and files -> (edit the meta data) -> click the "Make MKV" button => And voil? !
3. Ability to drop or select a (DVD) folder (and the software automatically check for the .ifo file inside the VIDEO_TS folder)
4. Automatically get the film name (from the folder) and/or ability to edit it (instead of the default "title00.mkv")
5. Choose and save the output folder once for all in the preferences
6. Native OS X app
7. (ability to get a missing subtitle or the movie poster on the Internet or to select this files locally, and add it to the MKV container)
Hope this could help.
Keep up the good work !
A.

Answering some questions:
You can do it now, if you enable "expert mode" in preferencesZenGarden wrote:4. Automatically get the film name (from the folder) and/or ability to edit it (instead of the default "title00.mkv")
You already can set it in preferences.ZenGarden wrote:5. Choose and save the output folder once for all in the preferences
It is a native OS X (Cocoa) applicationZenGarden wrote:6. Native OS X app
