Absolutely correct, 461 worked. I think I had a bad initial MKV rip, computer doing too many things at the same time or some sort of write error. Thanks for the tips and links.

I basically came up with the same workflow referenced above. In the case of Catching Fire, there were 20 playlist possibilities left after eliminating all playlists with incorrect chapter markers. When there are 3-4 (or more) possibilities left after elimination of all playlists with incorrect durations and chapter makers, I always create a decrypted backup of the BD and open VLC. Since all possible playlists for my BD begin with segment 511, I load it to VLC. Then, since the 20 possible playlists use 507, 512, or 515 as the second video segment, it is only a matter of viewing the beginning of each of the possible second segments to determine which matched the ending of segment 511. In this case, the second segment turned out to be 512 which eliminated 13 of the remaining 20 playlist possibilities and allowed me to uncheck them in the still opened MakeMKV app. At this point it was merely a matter of determining the possible segments listed in the remaining playlists, testing them in VLC, selecting the next correct segment, and eliminating incorrect playlists in MakeMKV. You repeat this process until you are left with only a single MakeMKV playlist and a completed VLC list of file segments in their correct order. At this point, depending on your confidence in the described workflow, you can compare the playing VLC playlist against the original BD while it is playing in your commercial BD player. If your workflow was correct, the two versions of the media should match exactly.

Sorry, it you thought this was supposed to be some sort of an automatic operation rather than a "manual" workflow employing the MakeMKV and VLC apps.

I don't think 0778 is correct. I made sure I have the same UPC code as you do. There is an incorrect cut when they arrive at District 11. Right after Effie hands them their speeches and Peeta says he can do the talking, it cuts to the outside showing no one is there. Then right as Peeta starts talking it cuts back to inside the train to finish their conversation with Katnis leaving the table.

Twice attempted to post a link to a sample video file containing the entire sequence from arrival at District 11 train station to the execution at the end of speeches by Peeta and Katnis but it appears such URLs must be approved for display in forum posts. In any case, there are no "cut backs" on my BD for this playlist.

EDIT: To get around URL review cited above, have added a "Website:" link to my profile. This link opens a page on my personal server where I keep links to temporarily stored items. The "Catching Fire (Sample).mov" entry is linked to my sample video sequence if you wish to see how playlist 778 on my BD renders the segments you referenced. Would be interested in learning why we are getting different renderings for supposedly the same playlist and UPC.

One other thing I noticed is that you say that 0778's second segment is 512 but my second 0778's second segment is 507. I got mine at Target but you got your's on Amazon. We both have the same UPC but I wonder if there is some slight difference.

ok, so even more confusing. It looks like 795 is the one that works for me. The segment map for my 795 is:

511,512,515,507,504,513,514,503,502,505,506,510,508,509,501

What is odd, that another user has a Target exclusive disc that has that same segment map on 778, not 795. The post I am referring to is: http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic ... =15#p32552

I don't think mine is the Exclusive version. I think it is just the normal version.

My 778 (which is bad) has the map 511,507,512,515,504,502,513,503,514,505,506,510,508,509,501
