Is there any way to change the metadata the Oppo reads?
Is there any way to change the metadata the Oppo reads?
I have an Oppo 103 and for some reasons while the file name may be the movie name, the oppo reads something else to list the name. For example, the name of my incredibles file is The_Incredibles_(Disc_1)_t06.mkv (created by MakeMVK). No matter what I name the file, my oppo will list the media as JackJack attack. Hard for me to keep track of movies if they aren't listed by their movie name.

Setting MakeMKV to expert mode will allow you to change the Name of the track which will change the Metadata TITLE you can also change with MKVToolnix's header editor.

Hello,
I downloaded the software and I'm wondering if I'm doing it the hard way. I don't want to reencode the whole movie if possible, just fix the name that Oppo reads. Is the full reencode necessary if the name came out wrong?

No, MKVToolnix's header editor only fixes the headers = metadata.
