Is there a trick to evaluate this software? Running Mavericks with a fresh install of MakeMKV. Even entered the temporary key.
I get the all familiar "failed to open disc" on a BDMV file.
Here is the log if it helps:

Re: New download of 1.8.9 not working
Ahhh.. OK. Thanks.
I read the work-around and I have a question... I should be able to figure it out on my own but maybe you already know the answer.
Under OSX, it is not as easy to navigate inside BDMV directory. The BDMV directory is not a directory in the GUI sense of the word. The whole thing is treated as a media file and if double clicked to go in, instead Quick time fires up and plays the movie. Since I have over 100 movies I'd have to do this for, is there an quick way to make the BDMV appear as a folder. Or do I have to drop to terminal and do it there? I supposed I could write a bash script to do it too but... what a pain!!
Or am I better off waiting for the next version to come out. My evaluation time will expire by then probably and I have yet to see if this will work for me or worth me buying a license.

Right click, show package contents.stradivarius wrote:Under OSX, it is not as easy to navigate inside BDMV directory. The BDMV directory is not a directory in the GUI sense of the word. Re: New download of 1.8.9 not working
Nope. There is no show package contents. You'd see that with other containers but not with BDMV. Probably because it already has been tagged as a QuikcTime file.
But that's OK. No worries. I did one by hand and the workaround seems to have fix the problem. I was able to mkv one of my BDMV. The one thing I wanted to make sure is that the audio was unmolested. Last night I did a DTS 5.1, next I want to try DTS-ES Discrete, and lastly a DTS-HD Master audio.
If all that passes mustard with my Denon receiver, I want to get a license, but I want to get a fixed version of the software that handles the container appropriately.
Any idea when the "fix" is coming out?
Thanks.

Maybe not in the file picker, but it sure does work in the Finder for me.stradivarius wrote:Nope. There is no show package contents. You'd see that with other containers but not with BDMV. Probably because it already has been tagged as a QuikcTime file.
