Drive BD-ROM ATAPI iHES112 3 ML02 has RPC protection that can not be bypassed.
Can anyone help me find a driver or firmware that can let me bypass this? I can't find it through google.
Error from my player, not my disc.
Re: Error from my player, not my disc.
Getting that error does not mean that MakeMKV can't use your drive - in fact, I got it just two days ago from one of my LG drives, which has been used many times with out-of-region disks. MakeMKV continued with the rip, and was successful, but it took longer. And, the next time I used the same drive, there was no error.
For what it is worth, none of the drives I use on a regular basis have even had a region selected; something the operating system periodically reminds me of.

Re: Error from my player, not my disc.
So based on the other thread, I should just wait it out? I see what you're saying, but I'm not sure how to make this problem go away...
Re: Error from my player, not my disc.
There's usually two ways to do it. Waiting it out while MakeMKV brute-forces the CSS decryption is one way (that's just letting it run).
When it happens to me, though, I usually just stop MakeMKV and exit, eject the disk, then restart MakeMKV and try it again. The drive itself works fine with different region disks almost all of the time, and when it complains, it's always been on a Region 1 disk. I ripped a dozen R2 disks a couple of months ago without complaint, switching between an LG BD drive and a Samsung DVD drive, without a problem.
