I tried to compile using this configuration:

Code: Select all

CFLAGS=-g -O2 -D_GNU_SOURCE -D_linux_ -DOPENSSL_NO_EC
But nothing changed, these are the version that I use for openssl libraries:

Code: Select all

libopenssl1_0_0-32bit-1.0.1e-11.10.1.x86_64
libopenssl-devel-1.0.1e-11.10.1.x86_64
libopenssl1_0_0-1.0.1e-11.10.1.x86_64
openssl-1.0.1e-11.10.1.x86_64
All the three devices works on Windows

Please, advice.

Hi

Very interesting what I discover. The difference between the unit that works and the two that doesn't work is that the one that works is directly attached to the SATA interface to the motherboard, the other two are on a external case attached to to an USB port (they are portable units). I attached one of them that didn't work directly to the MoBo using a special cable and... guest what?, works perfectly

So, I can only reproduce the problem when the drive is attached to a USB port

EDIT:

I tried attaching the drive both to a USB 2.0 and 3.0 port, same result, didn't work, I will try later attaching the drive to a e-Sata interface

please, help

Thanks.

Looks like a bug either in kernel or hardware usb-sata bridge chipset. Can you please post relevant section from verbose lsusb?

By the way, today I got a different external case, this time It is an USB 2.0 case, It works!!!, so the problem is only happening with this USB 3.0 case.
