Compiled 1.8.7 with ffmpeg2, error on initialize

I installed makemkv 1.8.7 oss with ffmpeg 2.1 as described in the release notes (manual method with ffmpeg2-tar), everything configured and compiled OK.
However when trying to start, I get this error:

[grexe@grexbox makemkv-oss-1.8.7]$ makemkv
/usr/bin/makemkvcon: symbol lookup error: /usr/bin/makemkvcon: undefined symbol: SYS_memcpy

I am using Linux 3.10.18-1-CHAKRA #1 SMP PREEMPT x86_64 GNU/Linux
(Chakra Linux).

Update: while this looks similar to http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2720 I did download and compile the latest 1.8.7 oss package.

You have an old makemkvcon. Please double check that you've installed th binary package as well, and that the installation was successful.
