Star Trek: The Next Generation - Season 02 Episodes too long

The Episodes I've ripped from Season 2 all have a running time about 2 minutes longer then they actually play. It makes seeking a PITA because if I seek to a point after it ends VLC will simply stop playback and I have to press the play button to keep checking the file. Do we know what's causing it or if there's an easy way to fix it?

Could be one of the tracks, maybe subtitles?

I think I've figured it out. All of the tracks list a duration of 47 minutes so I had to extract each of the tracks individually into their own MKV files. It seems that the secondary two channel AC3 tracks all have 2 minutes worth of static on the end, does anyone have any bright ideas on how to efficiently truncate the files to the length of the video track?

Please make a testdump of any title with such 2-min silence at the end, per instructions at /onlinehelp/testdump.html .

The issue affects all 22 episodes on the Second Season discs I have (I'm not sure if it's an Australian thing, maybe someone else can check their rips), these are the five episodes on the first disc. After ripping the episodes it took me over an hour to upload the files to MediaFire, if you want the rest of them... blah!

I can get the actual duration by loading the MKVs into AVIDemux, but if I enable splitting in MKVMerge and enter that number I just wind up with a copy of the original file, I may have to lose a few frames from the video to get that method working. I'm not sure what to try next.
