Re: Why Make MKV find two similar tracks?
I'm also a newbie with MMkv but the key here is to pay attention.
Pop the disc in a standalone player en verify the exact length and number of chapters, then compare with those with tracks in MMkv.
It will be evident which is the correct one.

Re: Why Make MKV find two similar tracks?
There can be dozens of "similar" tracks on some titles. Sometimes, these contain versions that vary only in some signs or other text in the background that are different for different languages. Sometimes, many will have scrambled scene lists, in an attempt to confuse users as to which one is real.
toshibauser's suggestion is the first step - checking times vs. what the BD's menu says is the "right" track.

Re: Why Make MKV find two similar tracks?
Thank your answer, but my tracks are very very similar....I'm a newbie but I am not stupid...I use MakeMKV from two years
The chapters are equal (21)
Languages and subtitles are equal
Size file .iso 36,33 GB
I converter all tracks and this is result:
File name track 1: 00001.MPLS
Size track 1: 29,36 GB
Length track 1: 2:02:34 (hs)
File name track 2: 01689.MPLS
Size track 2: 29,36 GB
Length track 2: 2:02:37 (hs)
I deleted all languages and subtitles except italian.
The length difference is because the track two start 3 seconds after
I checked both tracks but I do not find differences
Sorry for my english...

Re: Why Make MKV find two similar tracks?
One iDea suggested by setarip_old was to just back the disc up, and then try the segments from the segment map and see what's what.
Or maybe check the BDInfo DB and see if that disc has been listed and read the report on it.

Re: Why Make MKV find two similar tracks?
Both tracks contain segment 10 which is the main part of part 2 of the movie.
The second track contains segment 24 which is an additional 3 seconds at the beginning of that track.
I don't remember, but it may be black video to bridge between part one and part two.
You can rip both and play them and see what's at the beginning of the 2nd track (first 3 seconds), or do what Smithcraft suggests and back it up and play segment 24.

Re: Why Make MKV find two similar tracks?
Either track will give you part 2 of the main movie.
The second track includes 3 seconds of blank video.

Don't forget also that (typically) there are at least 2 versions on many discs, such as "director's cut", "theatrical version", "extended version" etc etc.
