Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS host certificate is revoked by your drive
Highest AACS version is v40 , MKB saved as /Users/josh/.MakeMKV/MKB_v40_NOW_YOU_SEE_ME.tgz
The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted
Failed to open disc

Is this a bus-powered USB drive? If so, you are probably not providing enough power to it to run at full speed. Plugging into a POWERED hub, rather than the computer, can often fix this.

Yes it is a bus powered drive, but I've converted over 50 different BDs before without error.

I use a 2009 MacBook Pro with the drive connected direct to it, and no other USB devices connected.

Perhaps it's worth mentioning that it gets stuck here;

Parsing file : /AACS/MKB_RO.inf

I tried some of my BD collection, and they still open fine.

...And it usually converts at 2.2x speed

I have a different problem with Now You See Me. I can convert it, although it takes over 5 hours when others take less than 1 hour. The real problem is that it scrambles the chapters. It starts out with chapter 1 then proceeds to chapter 13, I'm not sure of the number, then proceeds to chapter 3. I have ripped the entire disk to an ISO using AnyDVD and it plays correctly from the ISO, and, of course, from the actual disc. I haven't seen this on any other Blu-Ray, although I have not tested every one I have. Another thing that is odd is that after the initial scan, MakeMKV finds about 100 titles all with 15, 16 or 17 chapters and all approximately the same size. I'm wondering if this may be a new type of copy protection.

Scrambled chapters is a type of "copy protection" used to confuse people. It probably took a long time to convert because it found a lot of "copies" of the movie, each with variations in the scene numbering, only one of which is correct. Ripping to an ISO, you're using the menu structure to access, and that will point to the correct files.

When you play from the ISO, how long is the movie, in hours:minutes:seconds? That knowledge will narrow the selection of tracks down.
