Re: EPIC (20 Aug '13 BD Release)
Same problem as rucknrun. The BD seems to pick up OK, but after ripping the video has a ton of errors (large horizontal bands of goo). I'm trying different titles to see if there's some kind of workaround - have attached a screenie for your viewing pleasure.

Re: EPIC (20 Aug '13 BD Release)
does anyone have any progress report? I've just tried ripping my BD of Epic and it has the same video issues.
Re: EPIC (20 Aug '13 BD Release)
This is all due to the new BD+ codes that Fox is incorporating into their bluray releases as of late (started with Stoker and subsequently with Marilyn Monroe titles e.g. Bus Stop & Niagara). Fortunately, it seems that Fox is the only studio using the new codes for now; but this could change once other studios catch wind of how effective the new codes are against current ripping software (specifically MakeMKV). Mike (admin) seems to have been successful in updating the svq (at least for Bus Stop mentioned in other threads).
Re: EPIC (20 Aug '13 BD Release)
This is no different than any other BD+ update, you simply have to wait for Mike to update the SVQ, please make sure you're all submitting your dump files.

Re: EPIC (20 Aug '13 BD Release)
Ripping the European 3D disc today (Sep 3rd) I have the same distorted video issue.
It seems the problem is not yet fully solved

Re: EPIC (20 Aug '13 BD Release)
Had the same problem as others before, and then
MakeMKV v1.8.4 linux(x86-release) started
Using direct disc access mode
Loaded 109 SVQ file(s)
Processing BD+ code, please be patient - this may take up to a few minutes
Processing BD+ code using disc-specfic SVQ from /home/me/.MakeMKV/0000007b.svq
At that point
MakeMKV BETA popup
Fatal error occurred, program will now exit.

Re: EPIC (20 Aug '13 BD Release)
Where do I get the updated SQV file?
Re: EPIC (20 Aug '13 BD Release)
Unless you've disabled it, the download of updated SVQ files should be automatic, as needed.
MakeMKV preferences, General tab, make sure you have a data directory set, and "Allow contacting web server for updates" enabled.
It is also a good idea to have "Log debug messages" checked, and eventually you will want "Expert mode" checked, so that additional options are available.
