HI THERE....
For some reason, none of my devices (Smart TV, Bluray Player, PC with Power DVD, etc) recognize subtitles on MKV files created from Bluray Movies with MakeMKV, however all the files created from DVD Movies show all the subtitles.
Any Idea?? Thanks
No Subtitles on MKV files created from Bluray, DVD Files Ok
Re: No Subtitles on MKV files created from Bluray, DVD Files
BD subtitles are PGS format, which is only recognized by a subset of players out there. Some will recognize them in an M2TS file from a MakeMKV Backup, but not in an MKV container. Some will recognize them in an MKV, but only if they're compressed using GZip (this is done if you use MakeMKV with the "WD Live" profile). And some just don't recognize them at all.

Run the file through mkvmerge and it will add zlib compression for the PGS subtitles. WDTV Live does not display subtitles without zlib compression.
