Amazing program! Small question regarding output file

First of all, just wanna say that this program is amazing! Such a small footprint, not a resource hog, and quick! Thank you!

I've noticed some rippers allow you to start watching the output file as soon as the rip starts. Is this possible with MakeMKV? Or is it a limitation of the file type?

Streaming WHILE you rip would either have to slow the rip down (program accessing multiple parts of the disk at the same time), or be to a file format that can be streamed before the multiplexing has been completed and written to the output.

Since MakeMKV is not a video display program, you would be limited by whatever the display program is capable of. I do know that VLC will crash if you try reading the partial MKV file.

I thought so. It's not a huge deal. MakeMKV finished the rip in 20-30 minutes anyways. Thanks for the reply.
