MakeMKV & PS3MS

Post by piratemonkey » Tue Dec 15, 2009 4:53 am

Love this program used on Mac Pro, very fast and most reliable
I have been noticing issues with some of my bluray backups that when I stream a movie with PS3 Media Server via my PS3 I get some studderibg or breaking up because the current bitrate reaches the peak bitrate (151000mbs)
Anyone else have this issue and/or is there a way to avoid this happening?
Thanks!

There will be a great amount of artifacts while streaming a Blu-Ray on the fly with your Mac and PS3 do to compression. If you want a perfect picture I would use PS3 MediaLink to copy the decrypted .mt2s file of the movie to your PS3 using MakeMKV's backup feature.

Or you can use "stream" feature, and copy decrypted M2TS to PS3 from XMB, without intermediate backup.
