I managed to install MakeMKV on Linux Mint (14), which is based on Ubuntu.
The instructions on this website did not work; I used the Ubuntuforum (http://askubuntu.com/questions/140080/p ... -using-vlc) to find an update; only I needed to modify the versionnumber of MakeMKV in the script. I downloaded the files from this site and changed the directorynumbers to the version used in the script. I managed to see the content of a blueray disk produced in 2012 and purchased by me. I was unable to watch this until I came across this program. So thank you!

Re: Linux Mint
I install it on my Mint system using this great script makemkv-install

There's instructions for adding the repo to your system so you can just apt-get install it.
