I just downloaded MakeMKV last night and, if I can figure out a few things, I could see it as my single video ripping solution. But, in doing my test ripping of a few DVD's, I find I need some help with a few issues:
First, the file is saving with some arbitrary name, like file000.mkv. Then when I try to "see" it in My River, it naturally tells me the movie's name is file000.
Second, there is no artwork displayed in My River - rather My River shows the first screen of the movie. So usually that's going to be the spash screen of the studio.
Third, the chapters aren't working.
Fourth, the menus aren't working.
I assume all of these issues are settings inside of MakeMKV, but I can't seem to locate them. Can someone provide some help with these topics?
Thanks,
Kirk

Under "Tools", in the General tab, select "Expert mode".
When you Open a disk, you will now see a "Properties" window, where you can change the track name, the file name, and some meta data.

Re: Some dumb noobie questions.
MakeMKV does not back up DVD, it rips the features. So there will be no menus.
Chapters are included, so it might be a problem with your player not seeing them.
