Track Following Error, WotW

Post by squareshot »

Hi!
I'm new here, so I hope I don't elicit any RTFM responses!
I only recently transitioned to Blu-Ray, never had problems with DVD's.
My first effort was to rip my first Blu-Ray, the re-issue of "Serial Experiments Lain," and this was completely successful.
This is my second attempt with a Blu-Ray ("War of the Worlds"), and I'm getting an error at around 20GB of output.
There are 2 candidate movie streams, and both of them fail similarly.

On loading, 00058.m2ts can't be read, but- according to another program (BDtoAVCHD)- that file is not included in either candidate movie stream.
The problem occurs with 00055.m2ts
I'm using a Digistor (Matshita) external BD/DVD writer on Windows 7. I also tried the demo version on Mac OSX 10.7.5 with the same drive and got the same errors.

Any insight (disc problem, drive problem, other problem) and/or advice would be greatly appreciated!

The output is as follows:

This error indicates that your drive can't read the disc.

This can have 1 of 2 causes: bad disc or failing drive.

Blu-ray does not have any copy protection that causes read issues, so this is not a copy protection issue.

Thank you both for the quick replies (and for being merciful! )
I'll try cleaning the disc again, increase the read retry count, and hope for the best.
