Forced subtitles not marked as such

Post by heksesang »

When ripping Brave, I noticed that it creates two subtitle tracks for each Nordic language except Swedish (which seems odd) and two for English (one normal and one SDH).
Now, seeing that the second subtitle track seems empty, I assume it contains forced subtitles. But they are not marked as forced in the MKV.

EDIT: I ticked both the main option and the sub-option for each of the subtitles, forgot to mention that.

Which suggests they weren't marked as forced in the BD either despite this being mandatory. Not much MakeMKV can do about it.

I used MKVtoolkit for the first time yesterday and the "header editor" fixes this problem very easily. VLC player 2.0.6 will also honor the headers and play the correct stream by default.
